Friday, February 28, 2003 8:34 PM So I finally bought a domain to post my stuff for sale! nothing's on it yet though. still working on it. I took a few pictures today of a hat and scarf set. and I'll take a few more pictures of some hats this weekend. other than that, I've got a few of Man Hi's necklaces to add to the shop. I'll let you know :) I'm almost finished with my green ribbed tank top. yay! just have to sew it up. finishing is no fun. well. just not as fun. any tips to make sweing the seams up easier? 0 comments Tuesday, February 25, 2003 10:21 AM I took Anjali thrift shopping yesterday! She lives in my dad's hometown. so close by. It' so much fun to have crafty people around. Christi and I took her to our local thrift store and she was impressed :) Can't wait to see what she does with the stuff she picked up! I found a few more knitting needles and a bunch more 60s and 70s pattern books and mags. I made myself put most of them back. Restraint! still only came out to about $6.50 for everything. 0 comments Monday, February 24, 2003 9:07 AM It was a crafty shopping day yesterday. Man Hi and I went bead shopping at Ruby Tuesday in Long Beach. Well, she shopped for beads. I just looked around overwhelmed. again. There so many pretty ones to choose from but it was hard for me to picture what they would look like all put together. I did take pictures of some necklaces that she has made already and will post them up today. Then we had crepes and shopped a bit on 2nd st. I saw this very cool screen at 5001 
and it's available on sitcomfurniture.com. We just missed out on yarn store shopping though! For some reason I thought the store closed at 5 and they closed at 4 :( So the people that worked there saw us peeping in through the window wishing we could go in... I found another yarn store on 2nd that I want to check out some day called Liscat. Then we went to Target and picked up pretty accent rugs from the Swell collection. It was six squares of different colors and pretty flowers embroidered onto them. Most of it was on sale so it's probably on it's way out. We were so excited to see what was left. The quality of the towels weren't great but the print was so cute, I couldn't resist. 0 comments Friday, February 14, 2003 11:15 AM Happy Valentine's Day!!! $10 off at Nine West off any purchase over $65 0 comments Wednesday, February 12, 2003 5:42 PM I like pretty much all the projects listed on ThriftDeluxe link via daily candy Christi and I braved the rain and went to the thrift store today! It was buy a bag of clothes, get one free AND 50% off everything else day. It's pink and grey in the same pattern as the black and white one below. 
One of these days I will have an actual photo shoot of my stuff so you won't have to keep looking at silly pictures I take of myself in the mirror. another burgundy and blue hat, red and cream hat and an all black hat. and underneath those is the front of a 4 x 4 rib green tube top that I am making out of rowanspun aran. I didn't know that I was supposed to wind the hank into a ball before knitting so now it's one big jumbled tangle that I try to fix a little before each row... 0 comments |
