11:40 AM

On the drive into work this morning, I was thinking about how I desparately need to clean out my closet (especially if I plan to move soon!) and then I started thinking about what I’ve been wearing to work for the past two weeks. Then I started thinking about writing down my outfits so I would be aware of what was still wearable in my closet and to help figure out what to wear next (yeah, this is a girl-y blog, what of it? And when you have an hour or more commute like I have at the moment, you got a lot of time to think…)

I've also been trying to put together some sort of bulletin board because I really don't think I'm girly enough sometimes and I wanted to ask you all on your opinions on certain hair and skin products, certain outfits, make-up, shoes, etc.
Any other ideas for topics?

Oh yeah, it's almost noon and I'm still trying to wake up...
But it helps when you open up the morning paper and see a huge picture of Orlando Bloom in the ad for Pirates of the Caribbean.

11:11 PM

Now it's time to start planning the VEGAS trip...
A whole weekend with the girls: shopping, sunning, drinking and eating.
Summer already has a shopping map drawn up.
So I'm going through my stuff trying to figure out what bikinis and skirts to bring, but I think I'm more excited that we will be there the same weekend that this event is going on. :)

8:29 PM

Having a regular paycheck again means that I won't have to feel bad about my impulse shopping buys :)
Even if I haven't even got that first paycheck.
Let's just call this a celebration gift.
And because I am tired from having to adjust to my new schedule, I would rather post quick pictures of what I bought today then clean and do laundry.
So here I go:
Today's shopping deals brought to you courtesy of Nordstrom Rack

esprit leather handbag - $24.97

had a pink suede tie that I cut off - $9.97

best deal of the day! - $25.83

And yeah, I still need to work on the picture page from Arts Swap Sunday...
Here's one for you.

Miss Dana kicking back with a beer at the graffiti wall
(Notice the adorable mascot of her Renaissance Jewelry on the left !)
one more

cool kids we made friends with that day.
I know I should just put them all up...

ok, 2 more

Jide getting his groove on.

8:31 PM

After a couple of days of trying to be cool and stylish at my new job, I have gone back to my usual attire.
But t-shirts instead of tank tops and sneakers instead of flip flops.
I usually go back and forth with those anyway.
The whole scene is creative casual but it's cool to try out rocker and sporty looks too.
Still planning on the new skirt though!

I had so much fun at the Arts District swap meet on Sunday!
We all frolicked and danced in the sun. And there were some cool kids too
I met a lot of cool designers. More inspiration :)
I need to work on putting together the picture page but it is taking a while to get used to this work schedule.
I'm almost caught up so it will be soon.

12:46 PM

tank tops, skirts and flip flops.
that is my usual uniform, sometimes jeans instead of a skirt, but same basic format.

But guess what?
I start a regular day job on monday (!!!) so I have to adjust my wardrobe.
Still a creative situation so I'm thinking extra special touches here and there.
One of my first splurges will be a skirt from Amet and Sasha
Which do you like best?

and maybe more appropriate shoes...
something from extra fine sugar, kenneth cole, or fun fashion pumps

still recovering from yesterday's beach bonfire. I will look more later.

6:51 PM

Man Hi and I met up for a research outing last week and scoured all the local boutiques for tips and tricks.
It was fun! and very educational. We need to plan more of these trips. as long as we leave our cash and credit cards at home.
I looked quite sassy in my red flirty skirt, a black tank top, jean jacket, pretty shell necklace by Dana of Renaissance Designs ( I will have her jewelry up on Primp soon), and La Bonita Bag by SheBang(the pic is still up in her handbag section).
the perfect outfit to enjoy a sushi dinner while we looked over Japanese and Korean fashion magazines.
Man Hi also had to put up with me staring at the sushi chef with the pretty eyes :)

Then we started talking about eyebrows and how she needs to find tweezerman tweezers and how I desparately needed to have mine shaped. Any suggestions on where?
I also found this eyebrowz site, but I don't think I trust myself to do it on my own.
